Brand New Events Helping Ambitious Mums Retrain, Find Flexible Work, Start Or Grow A Business.

Little Fish Event Management has launched its own exciting event portfolio which will bring advice, support and opportunities for ambitious mums to two locations in Hertfordshire in June 2016.

The Mums Enterprise Roadshow is a brand new event concept organised by ambitious mums, for ambitious mums.  Although the events take place in 2016 planning is already well under way with  partners, exhibitors and other participants signing up to get involved. The mission of the Mums Enterprise Roadshow is to be the very best events of their kind and travel to mums in their local regions throughout the UK.

Virgin StartUp are on board as the official ‘Business StartUp partner’ and will be on hand to offer advice, offer further details about the Start Up loan process as well as feature live case studies on the day from successful businesses who have been through the process.  Alexis Liming, Head of Operations and Performance at Virgin StartUp comments “So many mums are considering starting a business, but balancing running your own business with raising a family is no mean feat. Now while ‘mums know best’, Virgin StartUp are here to provide the tools and support to enable mums to become mumpreneurs”

The events other partner, are well behind the events too, with founder, Hannah Martin commenting “Our website provides mums with support and inspiration to help them achieve their career and business goals. We are very excited about the Mums Enterprise events – from our own experience, and the results of the research we carried out on behalf of Mums Enterprise, we believe there’s a real demand for local, face-to-face interaction and support. We love the concept of the Mums Enterprise Roadshow and are looking forward to coming along and sharing our expertise in workshops.”

Virgin StartUp and are just the tip of the iceberg, the event is a platform to bring together services, advice and opportunities from both national and local organisations to support women, whether they want to re-train, find flexible work, start-up or grow a business. Organisers are speaking to many more potential partners and exhibitors only accepting bookings from those who are just as passionate about helping mums as the organisers are and have something truly valuable to offer such as access to support, advice, funding or franchise or home working opportunities.

Commenting on the launch of her first event brand, Little Fish Event Management founder Lindsey Fish said “Every woman faces the same conundrum when it’s time to start thinking about returning to work, whether it be after maternity leave or a career break when the kids have gone to school. I’ve been there, the idea comes from my own experiences of starting a business  instead of returning to work after maternity leave. Working with my business partner Lucy Chaplin, the amazing creative lady behind our brand, and using my 15 year event organising experience.  We are putting every ounce of our passion and energy into making the Mums Enterprise Roadshow the very best it could possibly be for all the amazing women who attend. Women who may be unsure about what route to take, lack confidence or just have no idea where to start”

The events will be over a full day with lunch, an ‘Enterprisers Handbook’ on entry and an awesome goody bag on exit.  With workshops, live case studies, a Q&A panel from successful Mums who have been there and done it, over 30 expert exhibitors and opportunities to network.  The event’s are set to ensure every single attendee walks away with their own personal action plan so they can set off on their own mission to the moon long after the event day itself.  With some amazing partnerships already in place this really is the most exciting event to launch this year.

The first stop will be Thursday 9th June 2016 at the Moor Park Mansion, Rickmansworth followed by a second event at Paradise Wildlife Park, Broxbourne on Saturday 18th June 2016. Tickets are priced at £35 per person with only 200 tickets available for each event they are expected to sell out.
