Pocket App, the UK’s largest independent app developer is proud to announce that CEO, Paul Swaddle, was named NatWest Special Merit winner for the Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2015 Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
The awards ceremony, recognised as the benchmark for entrepreneurial success in the UK, took place at Old Billingsgate in Central London and saw an elite panel of 38 judges whittle down the shortlisted candidates to determine the entrepreneurial leaders of Britain today.
The Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year category recognises those with an inspiring track record in combining creative flair with entrepreneurial ability and rewards those entrepreneurs who harness talent to bring ideas to life whilst making a significant contribution to the creative economy.
Paul Swaddle, who has been working at the leading edge of mobile technology for the past 15 years, commented: “I’m incredibly proud of this achievement which recognises not only my work, but also the work of the fantastic team at Pocket App. When I co-founded the business in 2011 the intention was to bring the creative and technical elements of mobile technology under one roof and this award, which recognises those that build, nurture and manage the creative process, shows that we are definitely achieving that goal.
The awards ceremony saw a host of VIPs from the worlds of business and entrepreneurship gather to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in the UK.
