Simple Web Design Tips To Help You Establish a Strong Online Presence

Establishing a strong online presence can be fairly difficult if you’re not sure where to start. Some people might focus on their marketing, others might focus on promotions and some might pour their resources into their social media presence. There’s really no right or wrong way to approach things when you’re growing a business, but there is a starting point that you should always focus on.

A professional website should be the very first thing that you focus on creating regardless of your marketing approach. This is because when you start drawing people’s attention, you want them to be directed to your website where they can make a purchase, look at your services or even just register their interest. Your website is the main focal point that you want to draw people to, hence why it’s important to focus on it as a priority.

So in this post, we’re going to show you some simple web design tips and concepts that will help you establish a strong online presence.

Focus on creating value that keeps people coming back

One of the biggest things to focus on when creating a website is your search engine optimization strategy. As part of this, you need to develop content that makes your website appealing. While you can hire a good SEO consultant (and it’s recommended to do so if you’re a new business) you also need to think about things such as your content marketing strategy. Content marketing refers to creating different types of content (be it blog posts, videos or product descriptions) that will help your business stand out and provide value to customers.

A great example of creating value is in making guides and other helpful resources for your customers. For instance, if your product is something electronic, then you can make a knowledgebase of information that will teach your users how to correctly use the product. If you’re getting a lot of questions on social media or via email about how to use the product, then you might find it easier to just have a page on your website that shows all of the frequently asked questions and answers.

It’s up to you to think of helpful content that your users might benefit from. Helpful guides are a great start, but you can also talk about your business, the industry or specific products that you plan to release in the future. There are a lot of different ways to make use of content marketing, so make sure you explore the different options available.

Sort out the navigation on your website and make it easy to browse

When you create your website, you want it to be easy to browse so that your customers don’t get frustrated when they try to find certain things. As a general rule of thumb, it should take no more than 2 or 3 clicks to reach where they want to go.

To help cut down on navigation problems, make sure you categorize the services and products on your website. For example, if you’re a clothing store then you’ll want to categorize your products into different areas of the body and accessories. This will make it much easier for your customers to find the type of things they’re looking for and to browse your entire collection.

It’s also important to include a search function on your website so that it’s easier to use. If your customers know exactly what they want, then they should be able to just search for it on your website and be given all of the products that are relevant to the search terms. There are many different ways to implement a search function on your website and it’ll depend on the type of verb builder or service that you’re using. If someone is designing your website for you, then you should ask them for assistance on creating a search function. To make things easier, you might also want to tag your blog posts and products with different terms so that they’re easier to categorize.

When your website is easy to navigate, it makes it much easier for your customers to find what they’re looking for. In addition to focusing on the products and services that you offer, it should also be easy to find help and to look for your contact details. Staying in touch with customers is extremely important to boost your reputation, so make sure you’re easy to contact.
