The research reveals:
  • Elon Musk has been crowned as our most influential CEO with a near perfect score of 9.95 out of 10. He has been incredibly successful as the CEO of Tesla since earning the job in 2008 and he just purchased Twitter, and sold $4b worth of Tesla stocks since Twitter deal closed.

  • Bill Gates takes second place with a CEO influencer score of 9.54 out of 10. Bill Gates co-founded Microsoft, one of the most successful companies in the world.

  • Jeff Bezos completes our top three with a CEO influencer score of 9.24 out of 10. Bezos is the founder of Amazon and was CEO until July 2021. Bezos was the richest man in the world for four years before Elon Musk overtook him this year.

Further study insights:

  • Elon Musk had the most fan-created merchandise, returning over 25,000 results when searching for his name. He also has a perfect social media score of 10 out of 10, as he has the most followers on Instagram, Twitter and Tiktok.

  • Bill Gates has the most TV appearances with 241 IMDB credits. Over half of these credits are from talk show appearances and news interviews, where Gates was featured as a guest.
