The no-nonsense guide to making your good business great

Life as a leader can be somewhat overwhelming at times, and throughout the different stages of a business’ growth, there will always be challenges to face and overcome. With an array of business-related content and Google at our fingertips, it is very easy for leaders to blindly follow the ‘advice’ given, rather than testing and questioning what’s working and what’s not working in their own organisation.

With approximately 5.93 million businesses in the UK, Dominic Monkhouse is on a mission to make good companies great, so they don’t become one of the 60% of businesses that go bankrupt within the first three years.

Billed as ‘the happy entrepreneur’, Dominic Monkhouse is the CEO and Founder of Monkhouse & Company, a no-nonsense coaching company that helps entrepreneurial CEOs and their leadership team reach their goals faster. In the last two recessions (9/11 and GFC of 2007-08), Dominic has scaled two UK technology service firms to £30m annual run rate revenue within five years.

In his new book Mind Your F**king Business, he shares his tips on taking a business to the next level of growth, covering topics such as, building and motivating a successful sales team, creating a customer-centric culture, rethinking your talent acquisition strategy and how to identify and test-run future leaders, to name a few. Broken down into bitesize chunks, it is perfect for dipping in and out of when needed.

Drawing on his expert knowledge and hands-on experience spanning two decades, Mind Your F**king Business, is a book every business leader should get their hands on and read if they are wanting to build an enduringly great business.

With the aim to offer leaders the opportunity to save themselves years’ worth of trial and error, Mind Your F**king Business offers a fresh perspective, with proven fast-track to success strategies, with less of the stress.

Mind Your F**king Business is a no-nonsense guide that challenges the reader to question their beliefs and biases as a leader. With each chapter, Dominic demystifies common business growth barriers, which revolve around leadership, sales, values, culture, talent acquisition, appraisals, and the employer brand. He discusses the obstacles he sees when coaching his clients and reveals what leaders need to do to thrive.

The book is a must-read for any leader that is struggling to grow their business. Dominic’s practical methods, tools and actionable insights will offer guidance, support and the confidence to know how to push through any period of standstill, achieve business growth and success.

“As a long-established, family-owned business, we know our stuff. Dominic’s book has helped us improve and refocus our long-term vision for SCC. In doing this, we have better engagement with our people, our customers and our communities, with measurable transformation in a short space of time.” — James Rigby, CEO, scc.com
