Top TikTok tips to achieve influencer status:
Although becoming an influencer is a popular dream, achieving such a high volume of views to sustain an income is incredibly challenging. Therefore, experts at GIGAcalulator have shared top tips to increase the chances of becoming a successful influencer:
-
Establish your community:
Communities are really important when creating content. Understanding your target market enables you to tailor your content so it is hyper relevant to your audience. Using hashtags and keywords through your content to engage and increase visibility, ensuring your community comes across your content, as well as staying true to your brand is a critical component of building a loyal following. You can also boost engagement by making an effort to engage with other TikTok users – for example, using ‘Duets’ to hop on the latest trends from other users to grow your own following.
-
Implement the crucial 2 second rule!
With around 34 million videos posted to TikTok on a daily basis, you need to make sure yours stands out and stops people scrolling past. The first 2 seconds are critical to grab someone’s attention and will quickly define the likelihood of them interacting with, and sharing, your content, with higher watch times boosting your visibility and prominence within the TikTok algorithm.
-
Ensure quality, quality, quality!
Whilst off-the-cuff, unedited content is easy to create and upload, in order to truly maximise the effectiveness of your content, quality should be a primary focus. Investing the time and effort in a higher quality video – ensuring strong sound and picture quality and snappy edits – will pay off, especially as the TikTok algorithm rewards creators whose audience consumes full videos.
