Top eCommerce Builders On The Market Today

Here are some of the different e-commerce platforms to consider:

Contents
  • Top eCommerce Builders On The Market Today
    • Squarespace
    • Shopify

Squarespace

Squarespace is another e-commerce platform that is worth checking out, and you can read my Squarespace review in full for even more details.

Squarespace is a good platform for beginners because it is very easy to use, and it comes with some beautiful templates and a great assortment of features as well.

There are plenty of great features on Squarespace. I actually find it to be a good platform for those looking to sell services online, rather than products. This is because you can embed maps to help people find you, integrate social media channels, build mailing lists, and schedule appointments with an online booking system.

You can also make the most of flexible payments and in-built tax tools. Every device can make the most of secure checkout, and you also have features like abandoned cart recovery, gift cards, and discount codes. You’ll need a cheap VPS to get started, rather than using their hosting, though.

There are two online store plans available on Squarespace at the moment. The cheapest costs £20 per month. You can expect multi-channel selling, point of sale, gift cards, 0% transaction fees, website analytics, SEO tools, a free SSL certification, and a custom domain name.

The main difference between the two plans is that the more expensive plan includes commerce APIs, advanced discounts, advanced shipping, subscriptions, and abandoned cart recovery. So, it is all about figuring out what makes the most sense for your needs!

Shopify

Another e-commerce platform that I recommend highly is Shopify. For businesses looking to grow or large retail stores, Shopify is a wise choice, as there are so many features for you to make the most of!

The main reason why Shopify has become the number one choice for so many people is that it has a huge number of features and tools for you to leverage, ensuring you have everything you need to be a success online. Their Abandoned Cart feature is something I recommend highly. This is an in-built feature, which is ideal for catching sales that have been abandoned or are incomplete. It’s ideal for those looking to boost their conversion rate optimisation.

You will also be able to customise the checkout with ease, adding your own fonts, brand designs, and logo. Even if you decide to implement a third-party payment getaway, your consumers will be able to instantly recognise the brand they are shopping with.

You can also sell unlimited products on Shopify, and the platform has a great mobile app for tracking products and orders and making changes on the go.

In terms of pricing and plans, you have three options. The basic plan will cost around £22 per month, the standard plan costs £60 per month, and the advanced plan costs around £225 per month. This makes it one of the more expensive solutions out there, but it is also the most extensive, so it is all about figuring out what you really need for your store.
